BARBIE AND HER COMPETITORS FROM THE 60'S AND 70'S

I started collecting Barbie dolls and outfits in 2000, I started sewing outfits for contemporary dolls and borrowed a doll from my granddaughter, later I found an Evergreen doll on a market and that was the start. Not long after that I bought my first vintage Barbie, a Side-part Bubblecut on a Danish online auction page and I was hooked. Little by little I expanded my interest to Barbie competitors, I got a large Petra by Plasty lot, almost complete but not quite, then Tressy came along, first the Palitoy dolls and outfits found in an antique bookstore and I just went on finding more mostly 60's fashion dolls both European and American ones and now I got a fantastic collection I think with rare dolls in it too and I also managed to find 2 large Bild-Lilli and 2 small ones and a lot of outfits for the larger ones. I will try and show most of my collection, also what has been sold, I just sold my Petra dolls and outfits from 1973-1978 to get space and the early Petra dolls and outfits are my favourites anyway so I'll try to get the outfits missing from the early ears. Lately I also got hooked on Silkstone Barbie dolls and got a small collection here and more 16"/40 cm dolls like Tonner, Gene, Madame Alexander and others and they will be shown here in my new homepage too
